![]() Working around those that encourage you to learn from your mistakes and failures is infinitely more encouraging than being downtrodden and treated like somebody worthless. Players take the role of an unnamed space marine, known as the 'Doom Slayer', as he battles demonic forces from Hell. It is the first major installment in the Doom series since 2004's Doom 3. From this he then worked on techniques to make the unique sound of DOOM 2016’s soundtrack. Doom is a 2016 first-person shooter game developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. Many people would assume to just scrap it and start over right? Well what his creative team told him was instead much more enlightening, they requested he continue developing what he had brought to them as they believed it to be a good stepping stone to build his work. When Mick presented some work he believed was an interesting development, his creative leads said they weren’t particularly impressed. Mick presented a talk at GDC in 2017 in which he spoke about an interesting topic in the workplace working in an environment where you are encouraged to fail. It’s incredibly well done and very unique. The best part of it however, is easily the soundtrack by Mick Gordon. ![]() The second disc features the Multiplayer Music as well as a full 16 minute version of the SnapMap music. This is every single song that appears throughout the entire Campaign of DOOM (2016). Obviously some tracks get used throughout the game and others dont, whatre ya gonna do. 2016’s DOOM was a franchise reviver like no other, with a great gameplay loop and brilliant scenery and tone. The first disc is the music from the Campaign, in order of appearance. ![]()
